 The very abmiece of Himalayan region has been conducive to the development of noble traditions, fine qualities and well integrated personality. A child developed in this region can never come under morbid influences of outside world, therefore the saints and thinkers of the past selected this region for the establishment of their habitations. Latter on the educationists chose hill stations like Shimla, Mussoori and Nainital for establishing residential schools. At Nainital foreign Missinaries established some residential schools for imparting quality education, but those English medium schools could not meet the pressing need of the Indian colture and civilization.

An evaluation of the present day residential schools brings out the fact that these schools have miserable field to produce such youngsters as are filled with noble qualities. On the other hand, the youngsters coming out of those schools are selfish, arrogant and devoid of self respect. It is an irony that attraction towards these schools is growing day by day. It is not only a Matter of concern but a challenge to counteract the intention of those who conspired to drive away the future generation from thinking  the welfare of the nation.

After making some experiments in the field to education and establishing some quality schools, Vidya Bharti desired to establish a residential school in hill region. The school is intended to give a new direction to the young generation and to build their personality in consonance with the culture and tradition of India. Boys coming out of such a school will remain away from the show and glamour of the modern time. They will find themselves in an atmosphere where they can have facilities for studying in a scientific atmosphere and can develop the qualities needed for an integrated personality. They never think of their personal interests but will pledge themselves to the service of Motherland. This, therefore, is our "Parwati Prema Jagati Saraswati Vihar".
